For the second consecutive year, LA PR firm Marketing Maven was named a finalist in the Digital Public Relations Programs (Social Media Campaigns) category. The campaign submitted was for client Baby Trend and was titled “Baby Trend Sparks Coos and Aahs – Welcomes over 1.9 Million Impressions.”

Marketing Maven developed the #BuzzIntoSummer promotion to launch the Baby Trend Inertia Infant Car Seat and Velocity Lite Jogger in Bumble Bee Fashion, exclusive to Babies“R”Us and continue growing their social media community and online presence. The promotion also served as an opportunity to gain valuable insights about the Baby Trend fan and customer, which would be of benefit to the client. The promotion was also an opportunity to earn awareness through social media and social media advertising, without having to use traditional advertising; magazines, radio, or TV commercials.
The total impressions for #BuzzIntoSummer branded content on Facebook and Twitter was 1,979,466 impressions. Total entries for the promotion were 10,467 with 3,444 of those being unique entries. The Baby Trend Social Media Community grew by 413 Instagram followers, 770 Pinterest followers, 1,132 Twitter followers, and 10,647 Facebook Likes as a result of the promotion. During the promotion, out of the 236,000 plus Baby Trend Facebook Likes 97,563 Facebook users were engaged in the #BuzzIntoSummer promotion, which totaled an engagement rate of over 40 percent.
Each year, the Public Relations Society of America receives hundreds of entries from agencies, corporate, nonprofit and independent public relations professionals in the Greater Los Angeles area. PRSA-LA PRism Awards program recognizes excellence in communication through strategic and tactical public relations programs and materials. Marketing Maven is competing for the award against agencies such as Edelman, Phelps, and Weber Shandwick.
The 50th Annual PRism Awards Show and Dinner will be held in the Blossom Ballroom of the The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Finalists will be awarded their PRism Awards, Awards of Excellence, and commemorate their 2014 Special Honorees.
