Lindsey Carnett
CEO and President
Lindsey Carnett is the CEO and president of Marketing Maven. She founded Marketing Maven in 2009, after leading integrated communications campaigns for firms and private industries across the world. With over two decades of experience, Lindsey founded Marketing Maven to elevate the public relations and marketing objectives of clients and provide tangible results.
Named one of the Most Entrepreneurial Companies in America and one of the Fastest Growing Companies in America, Marketing Maven is a bicoastal lifestyle and consumer marketing agency. The agency specializes in international and domestic public relations, social media, reputation management, direct response marketing, U.S. product launches, SEO, event PR, and Spanish media. The team also executes research for clients, identifying growth opportunities for businesses through MavenMapping, a market research, and competitive analysis to provide a marketing roadmap for B2C, B2B, or B2G companies.

She believes in giving back and has sat on Board of Directors for Women in Sports in Events serving as their Co–VP of Marketing, served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Los Angeles Chapter, Electronic Retailing Association and The Victory Club for California Lutheran University and is a member of the Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce where she was a 2021 40 Under Forty Honoree, VISTAGE, W Source, and Women Presidents’ Organization. She also taught a social media content course and wrote curriculum for Academy of Art University.
In her spare time Lindsey loves being active and is a former NCAA captain of the California Lutheran University women’s soccer team. Lindsey also played volleyball, basketball, and softball and placed in vault in regional gymnastic competitions. When not working you can find Lindsey at the beach, the park, or local walking trails.

John Carnett, M.S.
Chief Technology Officer
Known for his work merging new technology with the government, John is responsible for creating technology–immersive marketing programs containing clear goals and strong metrics, maintaining a network of strategic partners, and developing robust RFPs for corporate and government contracting as well as handling the company’s finances. Prior to joining Marketing Maven, he worked for a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services IHS agency as well as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) firm where he developed the ability to manage a department and succeed in high–stress situations.
John’s greatest strengths are his creativity and technologically savvy, which have led to the development of new programs like Sentio360. John thrives on challenges that expand the company’s reach. His most recent projects involved attaining the Women–or Minority–owned Business Enterprise (WMBE) certification for Marketing Maven from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and the Small Business (SB) certification through the California Department of General Services (DGS). Combined with the current 8(A), DBE, and WBE certifications, this has given Marketing Maven an increased opportunity to compete in new RFPs.
Holding a M.S. from California Lutheran University, he is a frequent speaker on industry-related topics where he develops and delivers presentations to startups at investment accelerators throughout California. John also enjoys promoting Marketing Maven’s diversity through his attendance at Women Business Enterprise events hosted by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as well as government contracting events hosted by various agencies throughout the United States.
Frank Tortorici
Vice President of Media Relations
Frank Tortorici has been at the forefront of the public relations and media relations fields since 1984.
An expert in business–to–business and financial public relations, Tortorici also has experience in many sectors, including tech, crisis communications, and pharmaceutical media relations. He has worked in public relations agencies, including Edelman, and in–house at not–for–profit institutions. Tortorici served as public relations director for the global business networking organization The Conference Board for nearly 20 years.
Tortorici has hundreds of solid media contacts and has conducted national and international campaigns for clients in the business/financial, consumer, and healthcare spheres. He has also developed and supervised social media campaigns for many of his clients. Clients serviced by Tortorici include Peppers & Rogers Group (management consultancy); TeleTech (international call center and customer solutions firm); The Conference Board (global business research and membership organization best known for the Consumer Confidence Index); Clark University; Bryant University; TABS Analytics; Econsultancy (global digital marketing industry organization); DeVito Verdi (advertising); the Advertising Research Foundation; Warner Chilcott Pharmaceuticals; Praeger Publishing; Ernst & Young; Ayer Advertising; Love Cinema web portal; John Hancock Financial Services; the law firm Schulte Roth & Zabel; RE/MAX real estate; Bond Investors Guaranty Insurance Company, and many more.

He graduated cum laude from New York University and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Cybele Parsignault
Marketing Strategist
Cybele Parsignault, Marketing Strategist, is a highly trained marketing professional who specializes in developing integrated marketing strategies for brands. Cybele is a marketing veteran with nearly two decades of experience within the industry. During this time, she has worked with internationally renowned brands, including Heineken, Crayola, Purell, and Chapstick, among others.
As a Marketing Strategist, Cybele works closely with clients to help them find the marketing approach that’s both accountable, sustainable, and profitable for their business. In addition to working with clients, Cybele is also responsible for seeking out prospective clients to add to Marketing Maven’s roster of diverse clientele.
Cybele graduated from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts with a degree in English Communications. In her free time, Cybele started one of the first successful beauty blogs, CybeleSays.com, which she ran until 2019. Currently, Cybele is passionate about cat rescue, flipping furniture, and biking.
Gabi Colaneri
Social Media & Digital Content Manager
Gabi Colaneri, Social Media & Digital Content Manager, is an integrated marketing professional who has developed brand images for clients across various industries including fem-tech, food products, agriculture, tourism, and more. Most recently, Gabi has aligned across all channels for seasonal marketing campaigns for Honda Motor Company, overseeing the website component, more specifically on design and content updates.
As a Social Media & Digital Content Manager, Gabi currently develops engaging social media campaigns that are tailored to the needs of each client based on data driven decisions, paired with a creative eye. She is an avid copywriter and has experience in understanding the creative, social, and digital landscape for brands, delivering on client goals and objectives.
Gabi graduated from Cal State Dominguez Hills with a B.A. degree in communications and an emphasis in advertising and public relations. As an avid traveler, she incorporates her love of travel, connecting with myriad of audiences, to align with client objectives.
Kelsey Knudsen
Account Coordinator: Marketing Research and Analytics
Kelsey Knudsen, Research & Analytics Coordinator, supports the market research team with website analysis, data collection, trend insights, and the development of market research projects. She executes brand sentiment analysis, brand pull-through analysis, the competitive share of voice, and persona development. Her analysis has included both domestic and international markets focused on the following sectors: healthcare, government, technology, diagnostics, toys, consumer products, housewares, outdoor décor, finance, and travel/leisure among other client categories.
Kelsey graduated from Saint Mary’s College of California with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Economics. While at Saint Mary’s, she also competed in their Division I indoor and beach volleyball programs. Kelsey continued her education at BYU to compete in their Division I volleyball program. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and playing volleyball.
Bernabe Macaraeg
Sr. Digital Media Specialist
Currently, he helps run and strategize all components of digital marketing for Marketing Maven clients. He also assists with training employees and educating staff on the latest social media, web analytics, and SEO trends.
Andreya Peru, MBA
Director of Integrated Marketing
Andreya Peru, Director of Integrated Marketing, brings her love of data and analytics to the Marketing Maven team. Our clients work hands-on with Andreya to gain insight into their own brand, their competitors’ brands, and the market as a whole. The market research Andreya conducts provides a solid foundation for our clients to assess their next move forward. Without market research, businesses are essentially guessing what their customers and potential consumers think about their business, product, and services. This results in the development of campaigns that are not backed by data, which have a much higher likelihood to fail at effectively reaching desired audiences.
Leading the Marketing Maven market research team, Andreya provides our clients with tangible data, which include charts, graphs, and statistics that highlight the top themes, sentiment, and trends associated with their brand, as well as the competition.
Andreya holds multiple degrees from California State University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, as well as traveling, Harry Potter, and everything related to the Renaissance.
Andila Wijekulasuriya
Sr. Graphic and UX/UI Designer
Andila Wijekulasuriya, Graphic and UX/UI Designer, is a creative designer that uses visual concepts to communicate clients’ messages. Andila brings a wealth of knowledge in design to Marketing Maven, including experience in designing brochures, ads, logos, infographics, whitepapers, eBooks, and visualizations and customizations for PowerPoints.
As a graphic and UX/UI designer at Marketing Maven, Andila conceptualizes visuals based on requirements, creates images and layouts, develops graphics across various media, and executes web design and development.
Andila also has a bachelor of arts in graphic design. In her spare time, she enjoys doing arts and crafts and cooking Sri Lankan food.
Shayne Wells
Sr. Integrated Marketing Executive
Shayne Wells, Sr. Integrated Marketing Executive, is a hard-working professional that goes above and beyond to meet clients and Marketing Maven’sneeds. Shaynerecently joined Marketing Maven and is excited to bring her extensive experience in new media and marketing to the agency.
As an integrated marketing executive at Marketing Maven, Shaynemanagesone unified voice and big picture strategy at Marketing Maven. She handles award submissions, social content, influencer marketing, PR opportunities, press releases, and blog content and oversees the big picture to connect the dots for truly integrated marketing campaigns.
Shayne also holds a master’s degree in New Media and Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the beach with her dogs, being outdoors, attending concerts and staying active after her collegiate soccer career.
Kevin Sonheim
Marketing Research and Strategy Coordinator
Kevin Sonheim, Market Research and Strategy Coordinator, is a talented researcher with an eye for detail. When it comes to market research, using Marketing Maven’s cutting–edge market research platforms, Kevin is able to break down the data into its core themes which are compiled into word clouds that can be used to inspire campaign strategies. Kevin uses our market research to create data–driven campaigns that take the top themes and market trends into account for our clients.
At Marketing Maven in addition to market research, he executes copywriting, nurture campaigns, content for Maven monthly newsletters, consumer facing, B2B facing, lead generation, social content, blog content and ad copy for social media ads.
He is a Pepperdine University graduate with a major in advertising. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies and TV shows, camping and martial arts. He also was a member of a service fraternity at Pepperdine and completed a variety of volunteer activities with the organization.
Emily Neglia
Integrated Marketing Coordinator
Emily Neglia, Integrated Marketing Coordinator, is a marketing professional with a passion for building brands through strategic media placements and opportunities. Prior to her start at Marketing Maven, Emily worked with two PR agencies where she focused on securing media coverage for clients in various industries, including beauty, finance, nonprofit, food & beverage, and many other consumer products.
Emily graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications. During her time at University of South Carolina she served on the executive board for the school’s PRSSA Chapter and was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. In her free time, Emily loves to try out new activities, attend concerts and go to the beach.
