Having spoken at high profile national marketing and consumer products conferences and guest lectured at universities, Lindsey has gained the reputation as an expert in the field of marketing and public relations.

Most recently Lindsey received a Top Women in Business Award from Pacific Coast Business Times, a Silver Stevie Award as Female Entrepreneur of the Year, was named a Top 25 Largest Women Owned Business in San Fernando Valley Business Journal and received multiple 40 Under 40 Awards.
A graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and current VISTAGE and Women Presidents’ Organization member, Lindsey also sits as the Content Committee Chair for the Electronic Retailing Association, the Vice Chairman of the California Lutheran University Victory Club, Advisor for the PRSSA and former 4-year PR and Marketing Chair of Women in Sports and Events (WISE) Los Angeles. A NCAA collegiate women’s soccer captain and officer in the American Marketing Association, Lindsey received her B.A. degree in Spanish and Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising. Chief Operating Officer
Phil Rarick brings to the marketing field a dynamic understanding of the direct response industry, public relations, social media campaign design and execution, and how to create new retail distribution sales channels. Having worked for multiple Fortune 500 companies, Phil’s leadership role has been integral in Marketing Maven’s rapid growth. With an expertise in product marketing and strategic product launches, his insights are crucial in the creation of tactical campaign launches and the development of overarching marketing strategies for products and brands.
As an active member in professional organizations like Beauty Industry West, Direct Response Marking Alliance (DRMA) and Electronic Retailing Association (ERA), where he sits as the Co-Chair of the U.S. Hispanic Council, Phil has a wealth of expertise in direct response and other industries. Phil helps clients to identify new areas of growth and develop a targeted strategy, helping the organization to see a quantifiable ROI. He holds a B.S. from California Lutheran University.

An advocate of using social media as a tool for customer service, she has helped clients like Baby Trend with their online reputation management. By using promotions and social media advertising, her execution of social media initiatives have led to increased sales for clients and top trending topics in Twitter. Her talents of managing social media campaigns have enabled clients to grow online visibility and gain customer brand loyalty. She holds a B.A. in Spanish from Eastern Washington University.
John Carnett, M.S.
VP of Business Development
John is responsible for creating marketing programs containing clear goals and strong metrics, maintaining a network of strategic partners, developing robust RFPs for corporate and government contracting as well as handling the company’s finances. Prior to joining Marketing Maven, he worked for a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services IHS agency as well as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) firm where he developed the ability to manage and prioritize actions throughout his department as well as succeed in high-stress situations.
John’s greatest strengths are his creativity, drive and leadership. He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the company’s reach. His most recent project involved attaining the Women- or Minority-owned Business Enterprise (WMBE) certification for Marketing Maven from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). Combined with the current 8(A), DBE and WBE certifications, this has given Marketing Maven an increased opportunity to compete in new RFPs.
Holding a B.A. degree from California State University, Sacramento and a M.S. from California Lutheran University, he is a frequent speaker on industry related topics where he develops and delivers presentations to small businesses at investment accelerators as well as to non-profit organizations within California. John also enjoys promoting Marketing Maven’s diversity through his attendance at Women Business Enterprise events hosted by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as well as government contracting events hosted by various agencies throughout the United States.
Director of Business Development
As an integral part of Marketing Maven’s management team, Natalie Rucker has created integrated marketing campaigns helping grow the firm to be one of the fastest growing in the country. Her unique talent for understanding traditional PR paired with social media has put her in the forefront of the direct response community where she serves as a leader in the industry.
Natalie provides context for companies to connect both their work and worth to consumers throughout the world. Her point of difference stems from the belief that creative and sales-savvy media relations can elevate her work beyond the tirade of agencies not fully servicing clients. Her connection with clients is unprecedented and has allowed her to build long-term relationships successfully grow a diverse client portfolio.
A trade show guru, she regularly attends the ABC Kids Expo, ERA’s D2C Convention, Global Pet Expo, Natural Products Expo and Lightfair, among others. In addition to her consumer and direct response marketing expertise, Natalie has also continued to provide insight into Hispanic marketing trends and learned from top influencers in the Hispanic market through the Hispanicize conference in Miami and through her networking and membership with HPRA.
She is a member of Beauty Industry West (BIW), Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA), Electronic Retailing Association (ERA), Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Direct Response Marketing Alliance (DRMA) and Women in Sports and Events (WISE).
VP of Media Relations
Andrea Pass serves as Vice President of Media Relations for Marketing Maven. With over 30 years of experience in public relations, Andrea brings strong creativity, strategy, press relationships and event planning capabilities to consumer, lifestyle and business clients resulting in strong ROI. Most recently, she served as Vice President at Steinreich Communications where she handled media outreach in such categories as food, travel, technology, beauty, “As Seen on TV” products, home & garden, authors, universities, entrepreneurs and non-profits, among many others. Her career includes public relations positions with the national CBS Radio Division as well as additional agency experience in the New York market.
Andrea understands the value of top tier media coverage for clients and brings her contacts at such press as NBC “Today,” ABC “Good Morning America,” Fox News Channel “FOX & Friends,” Hallmark “Home & Family,” Associated Press, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and more to Marketing Maven clients. Regional and local market media awareness adds to client growth and Pass works diligently to solidify placements throughout the country in order to continuously grow brand recognition for clients.
Andrea is also a former columnist for North Jersey’s largest daily newspaper, The Record, as well as a writer for Toy Business magazine. A graduate of Glassboro State College, she holds a B.A. in Communications.
Social Media Manager
Stephanie brings a millennial perspective to the fast paced and ever-changing platforms of social media marketing. She specializes in identifying the target demographic for a client and optimizing targeted social media advertising campaigns to drive conversions. Her talents contributed to the agency being named finalist for the 2014 Prism award for Product Launch Social Campaign. With the #BuzzIntoSummer promotion she developed and executed, Stephanie helped a baby gear client earn 1.9 million impressions over the duration of a month, which contributed to doubled sales increase for the new product launch.
As Social Media Manager, Stephanie takes clients’ goals into account when developing a strong social media marketing strategy. Always researching the latest social media trends and updates, Stephanie develops a balanced content calendar to include a mix of call-to-action, branded engaging and educational content to build and maintain social media communities and help drive revenue via social. Stephanie has a strong acumen in social media advertising on Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter. Her ability to target key fans or customers helps increase traffic flow and fan engagement for clients.
Stephanie also assisted in the virality of the Woof Washer 360 by requesting a silent, call-to-action free, demonstration video from the client and uploading it to Facebook. The Facebook video drove the product to sell out within 24 hours and has over 60 million views and counting. Stephanie holds a B.A. in Marketing Communication and Minor in Business Administration.
Senior Account Executive
Todd began his career in the publishing industry, where he worked as a literary publicist for several large publishing houses. Over the years, Todd worked for several boutique public relations firms based in Los Angeles, Seattle and New York. At these agencies, he worked on an array of consumer accounts with some of the top brands including: Olivaylle, Reverie, Amini Furniture, E.S. Kluft, Nourison Rugs, MyPillow, among others.
During his time at H&M Communications, Todd worked on California’s favorite coffee, Don Francisco’s Coffee, Fox Soccer and Fox Sports Español. While working with Fox Soccer, Todd worked directly with soccer writers securing coverage in USA Today, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Reuters, and other daily newspapers in the top media markets. Todd worked extensively on developing relationships with the key players in the soccer industry both in print and web. Todd was instrumental in planning press conferences in Los Angeles and New York City for Fox Soccer Channel’s Anniversary event. Todd also worked directly with Fox Sports Español, focusing on securing print coverage for the network in top national newspapers.
He worked in the corporate public relations department of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, broadening his experience into the specialized medical field. At the Academy, Todd was recognized for his outstanding achievements and excellence in public relations with the PR Weekly Non-Profit Team of the Year Award in 2002. He worked on the Academy’s award-winning Prevent Injuries of America campaign and worked with orthopedic surgeons in promoting injury prevention messages in their local communities.
Senior Account Executive
Frank Tortorici has been at the forefront of the public relations and media relations fields since 1984.
Though he has specialized in business-to-business and financial public relations, Tortorici has experience in many sectors, including tech, crisis communications and pharmaceutical media relations.
He has worked in public relations agencies, including Edelman and in-house at not-for-profit institutions. Tortorici served as public relations director for the global business networking organization The Conference Board for nearly 20 years.
Tortorici has hundreds of solid media contacts and has conducted national and international campaigns for clients in the business/financial, consumer, and healthcare spheres.
He has also developed and supervised social media campaigns for many of his clients.

As Social Media Specialist, Galina produces visually engaging content, provides an unmatched level of customer service and increases brand awareness, thus generating sales and leads through digital advertising. Specializing in organic growth tactics, she has increased audience engagement by over 3,000% and achieved a 100% response rate, 3-minute response time on Facebook for an online pet retailer client.
Galina is adept in educating industry leaders about best practices in social media marketing and advertising since she is always staying up-to-date with the latest trends in the industry by furthering her education with the most useful Google and Facebook certifications. The most recent networking conference attended was Complete SEO Workshop in Tampa, FL.
Her strongest attributes are developing out-of-the box marketing tactics, dissecting analytics and achieving success. With a strong background in influencer marketing, she became the driving force behind the influencer program for two different clients managing a database of over 3,000 bloggers.
Galina holds a B.A. degree in Digital Communications and Multimedia from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton.
Valeria has been working in the public relations and marketing field for more than 5 years, having experience working with a variety of industries including non-profit, corporate, and entertainment. Most recently, she worked as a Marketing and PR Associate at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History where she worked to promote and raise awareness for the Museum and Sea Center, securing regional press coverage for a variety of events, openings, and fundraisers. Valeria has secured feature stories in publications including the Santa Barbara News Press, Santa Barbara Independent, Casa Magazine, Ventura County Star, in addition to numerous on-air interviews on KEYT News Channel 3. In addition, she has experience with managing accounts in several social media channels. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, and holds a B.A. in Journalism with an emphasis in public relations from California State University, Northridge.
A world traveler, Nadia brings a unique approach to the media relations and revenue-generating marketing strategies for travel, health, beauty, tech, education and lifestyle clients. As an Account Executive, Nadia specializes in securing interest in print, broadcast, and online media through creative and tailored outreach. She has cultivated fantastic relationships with blogger and influencer contacts on behalf of Marketing Maven clients.

Proficient in the realm of multimedia journalism, marketing and public relations Kristyn is an Assistant Account Executive at Marketing Maven. Her specialties include creating captivating content and representing clients in the health, science, beauty and entertainment industries.
Kristyn’s background is in PR, broadcast news, television, print and radio. Her passion for the written word has been proven through various awards she has received over the years by highly respected organizations within the journalism community such as, APTRA (Mark Twain Award), SPJ (Best Radio Feature), and RTDNA (Edward R. Murrow Award).
She has booked and produced celebrities/experts on Hallmark’s Home & Family show, conducted red carpet interviews for ABC 7 Eyewitness News, co-hosted projects for the NBC affiliated KOAA 5 promotions department, reported health related news for KCSN 88.5 FM, and occasionally freelances as an international entertainment reporter for the Brazilian new source, BDCi-TV. Kristyn has also written published press releases for major music trade magazines, such as FOH and DJ Times. She has provided PR representation for top music industry brands such as Nord, Kurzweil, Allen & Heath and more. Kristyn graduated with honors from California State University Northridge with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism with a collateral field in English.
Jack began his public relations career at a boutique corporate communications agency in Midtown, Manhattan. Now, as an Account Coordinator at Marketing Maven’s NYC office, he provides support across a series of accounts, including consumer, non-profit, and business-to-business. Jack works cross-laterally with the Marketing Maven team to ensure that the agency continues to secure top-tier placements for its clients and cultivate relationships with media outlets across all mediums. His most notable media placements to date include the viral, millennial website, Mic, and the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Jack holds a B.A. in English and Philosophy from the State University of New York at New Paltz, having graduated with honors.
With a background in journalism, advertising, and tourism, Eliza brings a diverse experience into her graphic design work. She specializes in social media graphics, press kit design, brand identity, and creative strategy. More than just a graphic designer, she also is an experienced photographer and photo manipulator and has experience in HTML email design, videography, post-production editing, and animation- applying her expansive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premier Pro.
Eliza graduated with honors from California Lutheran University with a BA in Communication, with emphasis in PR and Advertising, and a minor in graphic design.
Morgan enhances marketing opportunities for Marketing Maven through acquiring interview and speaking opportunities for Lindsey Carnett, highlighting company partnerships, writing blog posts and press releases, managing the Marketing Maven corporate social media content calendar, as well as developing and creating proposals for new business development. Morgan graduated magna cum laude from California Lutheran University and holds a B.A. in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising.
Alisha brings an international flare to the Marketing Maven team. After moving nine times and living all around the world including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and the United Arab Emirates, she contributes a unique worldwide perspective.
Alisha made the jump into public relations after being an associate producer at KTVT CBS 11 in Dallas-Fort Worth. Coming from a background of broadcast, radio, print and television, she was on-air and behind-the-scenes at KMXP iHeartMedia Mix 96.9, KAET Arizona PBS and KTVK 3TV.
Alisha graduated with Magna Cum Laude from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, and holds a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication and a minor in communication.
